Aeris LaShay BeardJuly 26, 1992 - January 22, 2012
Aeris became a member of M.E.L.L. Inc in April 2009, she was a Junior at Laurel High School and pregnant with her son Dwayne. After the birth of her son, Aeris continued to attend our monthly mentoring sessions bringing her young son with her.
In June 2010, in addition to graduating from Laurel High School, Aeris earned a certificate in Geriatrics and became a Certified Nursing Assistant.
On January 22, 2012, Aeris life was cut short by a senseless act of domestic violence. She was murdered by her son's father. She was only 19 years old and was in her second year at Coppin State University pursing a degree in Nursing.
